My name is Kenneth Chen. I’m an American living, working, and playing in Stockholm, Sweden. I love to travel and learn new things about different cultures. I like comparing and contrasting my two cultures (Asian and American) against what I see in my new home. Hence, this blog.
These thoughts and viewpoints are mine and my own only (although I may borrow anecdotes from others!) and are meant to entertain and educate. I would love to hear from you if you have any thoughts or comments about this blog. Thanks for stopping by – maybe you’ll learn a thing about what it means to be Truly Swedish!

Hey Kenneth! Would you want to trade blogroll links? I’m at lostinstockholm.com
Your blog is awesome and spot on. Grattis!
I live in SF. My parents came from Sweden, so I spent a lot of time there growing up. Somehow I stumbled on your blog recently. Experiencing Sweden through your eyes has reminded me of many cultural quirks that I had frankly forgotten about…I even had to share some of your posts with my mom. My faves today are ‘the last fikabrod’ and ‘losgodis’…lulz!
Thanks for your note! I’m from the SF area originally too. I need to do a better job of updating this blog, but who wants to sit in front of a computer when you have sunshine from 3am to 10:30pm? 🙂
Hi Kenneth, great blog. This is Yuriy from SwedishPod101.com. Is there anyway to get in touch with you via email in regards to a possible affiliate partnership? You can reach us at [email protected].
Good stuff Kenneth! How long has this blog been up and running?
Awesome blog! Being Asian-American from Los Angeles, I can definitely relate to your posts here in Lund. Cheers and good luck!
Wow, I just discovered your blog and I fell in love with it. I find it very amusing to see the opinions about Sweden and things that I find normal and natural from a different point of view, Keep up with this really good blog!
Woah! Love your blog! I am a Chinese-American from CA who previously went on exchange in Lund and is planning on moving back to Sverige next year.. hopefully :).
